Weekend Recap!

It feels like forever since i’ve posted.
I have been sick for a good week now, but I had to (at the very least) give a Weekend Recap!
I really don’t know what I was going through, it felt like a combination of the cold and flu. Needless to say, I haven’t done any working out and I need to get back on it.
However, despite my physical (some mental LOL) ailments I still managed to LIVE and not lock myself up in my room and miss out on life with the fam…THANK GOD!

So Here’s my quick recap of my weekend:
Friday:
My daughter drove in to the office with me for a photo shoot. (I enjoyed that!)

She ROCKED the shoot. (These photos were being texted to me as the day progressed)

Ended the night pretty early, I was still feeling sick, but all in all it was a fun night! I fell asleep watching Joe Dirt…LOL

Sunday:
My wife, daughter and one of the twins took off to watch our niece play in a volleyball tournament… So my other twin and I decided to get some Peruvian soup! Yum!

I started feeling a whole lot better after eating so I caught up on some house chores and just “chillaxed” with my boy.
When the rest of the fam got home, we talked about going to Disneyland, but I really wasn’t up to it since I was JUST starting to feel better (good decision!).
Had a great dinner! So glad I started eating a lil fish again so now I can use my grill! Yahoo! Tilapia and zuchinni anyone?

Ended the night talking, laughing and watching Adventure Time (it’s a funny random cartoon on cartoon network) with the wife and kids. Yay!
And now, ending my weekend doing this Weekend Recap! Goodnight. 🙂

Takin’ on Long Beach!

I was home with the kids while wifey was out playing B-I-N-G-O!

Instead of staying home on this nice, sunny but slightly chilly day, i decided to rack the bikes and grab the kids for a nice bike ride along the bike path in Long Beach, California.

It was a great time and most of all the kids had a blast…yay!

Bikes racked and ready for riding!

I have to say…I feel blessed!

Goodtimes with the Valentine(s)

Had a great Valentine’s day.
Started the morn by bringin’ the kids to school, then dropping a card off to wifey before i left to work. As a tradition I usually bring my mother flowers, so I dropped her off a card and flowers, and a lil extra to take care of the kiddies for a couple hours so my wife and I can have a lil date! Yayy! 🙂
Got to work…
>>>Fastforward>>>
Left work at 5 on the dot and battled through traffic to get to the movie theaters right on time to get lil snackies and jump right into a not so crowded showing of Hansel and Gretel (it was okay).
After the movie, we took a walk to a casual restaurant called Fish Bones (pretty good food). We had great dinner conversation, nothing too deep or serious, just enjoying our time together. After dinner we decided to get our lil valentines and spend some time with them.
We picked the kiddies up and zoomed over to the local Barnes and Nobles to hang out, browse through books and enjoy some family time.
I was glad to have had a good couple hours with my wife sans kids and then a great time wit the entire family. I guess we can have the best of both worlds… Just have to know how to work it! Yay!
This is my wifey with her lil valentines…

And that’s me with my lil valentine!

Time well spent.

As of late, time with my kids during the week pretty much consisted of dinner time then straight to the xbox (most the time I just sit there and watch and comment as they play).

This night I decided to do something different, something more meaningful.

I took off to the local target as they were doing their homework with mommy, and purchased a Lego board game. (My kids LOVE legos btw)

When I got home, they looked at the box and were like “Yay Legos!” But what they didn’t realize is, what they were going to build (pic below) was not just to look at but it was going to be something active, tangible and interactively fun for all of us!

20130206-220635.jpg

We had a grrrrreat time… as you can see on this boys face (yes they are twins) they are LOVING it!

20130206-220648.jpg

The time spent definitely was fun and interesting. It was interesting to see how they think things out in game play, one would execute without thought, and the other would hesitate and not want to hurt anyones feelings. It was cool to see how they interact with each other, I’m happy to say, my boys love eachother! What I noticed and will cherish the most was during the course of the game, as we played, we carried a conversation about school and how their day went. We had great laughs about the game and about things that happened during their day. We all had fun. We made new memories. We bonded. 🙂

I must say, it was time well spent!

Who won the game you ask? The boy up there smiling:) (And that’s the boy that didn’t want to beat anyone…go figure!)

But I can say we all were winners tonight!
